The 2nd TKAFA seminar on "Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation of Patients at Intensive Care Unit. New Trends and Dynamics "at G.N.A. "Evangelismos", was completed with great success on May 23, 2015.

The seminar was attended by 209 participants from all over Greece (125 physical therapists, 12 graduates of other health professions, 72 undergraduate physical therapy students).

The seminar began with the honorary award of three people for their significant contribution in the field of physiotherapy in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Mrs.Vei, physical therapist at "Sotiria" Chest Diseases Hospital, Mrs.Klouva pathologist-intensivist and director of ICU at Thriasio General Hospital of Elefsina and Mrs.Maggina pulmonologist-intensivist and director of ICU at Konstantopoulio General Hospital of N.Ionia "Agia Olga".

The seminar included high-level scientific lectures, videos with early mobiliziation and application of neuromuscular stimulation on patients hospitalized in ICU. Throughout the seminar, a lively discussion was held by all delegates.

Finally , the need to the physiotherapy acts in ICU as long as the importance of continuous learning of physical therapists working at ICU in Greece, was noted by all seminar delegates.
